In the Heart of Naples The city of the Sun

Location

Right in the heart of Naples, on the main commercial street of the city, Corso Umberto I, between the Train Station and the Port, steps away from the most famous attractions: San Gregorio Armeno, Via Toledo, Plebiscito Square, Maschio Angioino...

The Fountain Spinacorona, located right behind the property, is an popular fountain in central Naples. The subject is the depiction of the siren Parthenope (icon of Naples) who douses, with water emerging from her breasts, the flames of the Vesuvius.

The University of Naples Federico II is located just a few steps from La Fontanina Suites. It is the most ancient state-supported institution of higher education and research in the world.

In 1995, the historic centre of Naples was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site: « Considering that the site is of exceptional value. It is one of the most ancient cities in Europe, whose contemporary urban fabric preserves the elements of its long and eventful history. Its setting on the Bay of Naples gives it an outstanding universal value which has had a profound influence in many parts of Europe and beyond. »
